Seller and orders
These terms apply to consumer purchases on grasseparfum.com from FAMILLE GRASSE PARFUMS, French SAS, capital €1,000, RCS Grasse 848 366 738, VAT FR64848366738, 29 rue Amiral de Grasse, 06130 Grasse, France. Contact: office@grasseparfum.com, +33 7 78 38 73 99.
The product page describes the goods and their essential characteristics. Before placing an order, you can review and correct the products, quantities and delivery details. Final confirmation creates an obligation to pay the displayed total. We email an order confirmation. The terms in force when ordering apply; later updates do not change existing orders. You may save or print these terms and request a copy of your contract by email. Electronic contracts of €120 or more are archived for 10 years as required by French law.
Prices, payment and delivery
The price, applicable taxes, available payment methods, delivery charges and delivery period are shown before purchase. Payment follows the method and payment schedule displayed at checkout. Any import charges not included for non-EU destinations are payable by the recipient. Our Payment & Shipping Policy gives the rates, preparation and delivery estimates, and your rights if delivery is late. Unless another delivery period is agreed, delivery is due within 30 calendar days. Risk remains with us until physical receipt, except for a carrier independently appointed by you and not offered by us.
Withdrawal and returns
You have 14 calendar days after receipt to notify us of withdrawal without giving a reason, then 14 days to send the goods back. You pay direct return costs for a change of mind. We refund within 14 days of notice, including standard outward delivery on a full withdrawal; we may wait for the goods or proof of dispatch, whichever comes first. The original payment method is used unless you expressly agree otherwise, without fees. Only handling beyond what is needed to assess the goods may result in a deduction for diminished value. Statutory exceptions include personalised goods and genuinely health- or hygiene-sensitive sealed goods once unsealed.
The Returns & Refunds Policy forms part of these terms and provides the full procedure, exceptions, return address and optional model form. You can also withdraw online.
Statutory guarantees
Contact the seller at the address or email above to claim a legal guarantee. Necessary costs are borne by us. The following explains the French statutory guarantees; no commercial policy reduces them.
The consumer has two years from delivery of the goods to invoke the legal guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears. During this period, the consumer need only establish the existence of the defect, not when it appeared.
Where the sale includes continuous supply of digital content or a digital service for more than two years, the guarantee applies to that content or service throughout the agreed supply period. During that period, the consumer need only establish the existence of the lack of conformity, not when it appeared.
Where applicable, the legal guarantee of conformity requires the seller to provide all updates necessary to maintain conformity.
The consumer is entitled to repair or replacement within 30 days of the request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience.
Repair under this guarantee extends the original guarantee by six months. If the consumer requests repair but the seller imposes replacement, a new two-year guarantee starts when the replacement is delivered.
The consumer may keep the goods and obtain a price reduction, or end the contract and receive a full refund upon return, if:
1. The seller refuses repair or replacement;
2. Repair or replacement takes more than 30 days;
3. Repair or replacement causes significant inconvenience, including where the consumer permanently bears collection, removal, or installation costs; or
4. The lack of conformity persists after an unsuccessful attempt by the seller to remedy it.
If the defect is sufficiently serious, an immediate price reduction or termination is available without first requesting repair or replacement. A minor lack of conformity does not entitle the consumer to terminate the sale.
Any period during which the goods are unavailable for repair or replacement suspends the remaining guarantee until the repaired or replacement goods are delivered.
These rights arise from Articles L.217-1 to L.217-32 of the French Consumer Code. A seller who obstructs the guarantee in bad faith may incur a civil fine of up to €300,000, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L.241-5).
The consumer also benefits from the legal guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect. This allows a price reduction if the goods are kept or a full refund upon return.
Complaints and applicable law
Please send a written complaint to office@grasseparfum.com or our postal address. Consumers have the right to seek free consumer mediation after first attempting to resolve the dispute with the seller, and may use the competent courts. French law applies without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections in your country of habitual residence where applicable. No term excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
